Digital Printing

The days when making streamers by hand on cloth are almost over. You can still see some artisans plying their trade making streamers the old-fashioned way but this is becoming rarer and rarer. Large format printing is easily done by means of computers and printers that defy imagination. Once these equipment became available, the thrust now becomes how to best utilize this technology in innovative and creative ways. There seems to be no limit to what this technology can be put to. Where before, the overly narcissistic with enough wealth to commission a life-sized painting of oneself were the only ones who would deign to have a full-length portrait of oneself, now any Jane can have her portrait on her wall for all to admire.

Blow-up portraits can now be done on an extreme scale. Blowups that cover entire walls are now possible. Such is the power of technology to cater to the endless imagination of people who care for the same things, self-gratification. This is truly wonderful even if it is not totally original.
